Jubilee Play Round-Up

Well, folks: love her or loathe her, you probably haven’t been able to escape the fact that this long weekend, the UK has been celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, honouring Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne.

Whatever our individual stances on the monarchy may be, I write this, hopeful that you’ve had chance to enjoy the bank holiday: perhaps had some much-needed time off, got to spend time with friends and/or family, or just enjoyed some sunshine – whatever this weekend has meant to you, I hope you’ve had fun!

From the looks of my Instagram feed: our small people have had a blast and have loved learning, playing and exploring all things “Jubilee”!!

We’ve seen so many amazing Jubilee-themed play ideas: from handmade crowns to Jubilee baths; Union Jack-inspired tinker trays to afternoon tea with the Queen!

You’ve filled the ‘gram with red white and blue, and have been so excited and so inspired by the monarch’s celebrations, that we just HAD to share some of our very favourite Jubilee plays on the blog!

So, without further ado…

Aren’t they brilliant? I always love to see how differently individual people interpret the same theme; it makes for such a wealth of ideas and inspiration!

Thank you so much for sharing all your fabulous Jubilee plays, have a fantastic week; remember to keep sharing all your play set ups and learning opportunities using the hashtag #CatkinPlay for a chance to be featured by the lovely @learningwithroman on @catkintoys !

Until next week!
