Our Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit us here at Catkin toys. We are a small, family run business specialising in the sale of high quality, durable and ethically sourced toys.

Our journey began with a desire to 'shop small' and support independent businesses instead of corporate giants. Along the way, we discovered that many of the toys we wanted to buy were hard to find or couldn't stand up to the hustle and bustle of life in a family home. Over time, this became a strong passion as we scoured the internet, exploring the world of wooden and ethically produced toys.

 

I realised it really shouldn't be this hard for busy parents to find products they can rely on and so we decided to launch our own small business, where every single product sold has been tested and approved, not around a table in a conference room, but in a real family home with boisterous children and the typical daily chaos of life.

As a result, every single product we stock has been rigorously tested and approved by our son, Arlo as well as beloved family and friends. You can therefore be confident our products will stand up to the rough and tumble of every day life and be loved by adults and children alike.
